Would your spouse clean up your s***? *literally*

I saw a post today on a group I belong to about total hip replacements. A woman was asking about how going to the bathroom was after surgery because she didn't want to have to have her husband help her when she pooped.

Okay I have no freaking shame. They give you this raised toilet seat because you have bending restrictions. Normally that works and you can do it yourself. Yet there are cases like mine where mine was really difficult and I had a lot of hardware removed during so they could replace it. I was in so much pain I could not make it to our bathroom and that seat did not work for me.

So we had one of those toilets that go by your bed with the handles and can have a bucket thing in it so you can use the bathroom. I had to use that for a couple days and my husband had to clean it. Yes I had to poop also. Yes it is gross but you marry for better or worse. I would do the same for him.

So my question is would your husband clean up your shit?

Yes and I'd do the same for him.  It's the same thing as cleaning up your kids when they're little, just something you do to get through the day.  Not a big deal.

Yep he sure would .. He's cleaned up my pee and vomit so I have no doubt he'd do my shit too.

Yes, and vice versa. It's gross, but it is what it is.

Yes, unfortunately he has had to wipe my butt and bathe me before. Not one of my proudest moments.

Well, he'd certainly try. He'd probably vomit though. He has the weakest stomach of anyone I've ever met. I'm a nurse, I could do it no problem lol.
