I think we should return to the traditiional past time 9-5 job

I do not agree with this new era working 8 hours, then no paid lunch which technically you are gone from home nine hours a day.

We should return to the traditional 9-5 job with paid lunch.

There are part time jobs. I prefer to work part time.

Paid lunch sure, but not every job can be 9-5.

The point is the number of hours work places take people away from home and their family responsibilities.

I do not get paid lunch at all, although my employer does give me the option to take one hour or half hour lunch.

The world stops at 5? Or doesn't begin until 9? I rather like my 7-4 I'm salaried and I'd rather not put in 9-6

I work 9:30-5:30 with paid lunch and weekends and holidays off :)

The reason that doesn't work is because of demand. If everyone works 9-5 how will you shop or go to the bank? It's not the 1950s where women stayed home and could do all those items while the man worked.
