Ds acted up so he is facing the punishment

I took dd and ds to the park about 10 minutes ago. Ds has a fit, flipping the sky off so I picked him up, told dd to come on and went home. Now he is on the couch and asked to go outside and I tell him no. He asked if he can play in his room and I said no, he is on the couch all day. I am done with his fits. I know he can't help it but he will still get this punishment.

I can't get a grip of his fits and don't know what triggers it. Urgh....

He needs to be given more coping skills, being on the couch all day won't teach these skills.

Ok, so your son acts up and your first instinct is to tell a bunch of strangers about it on the internet?

How old is he? Do you make sure to give him plenty of positive praise/reinforcement?

How old is he?  What do you mean you know he can't help it?

Where did he learn to flip off anything?

You're a train wreck.

Your punishment is too long.  Time outs should be one minute per 1 year  of age.

Why can't he help it?
