I leave my 10 year old home alone...

Hopefully I have some mamas out there who will relate to this confession...but I've left my 10 year old at home ... more than once. Never more than an hour, and I'm never going anywhere far (mostly just errands around town).

But honestly, with so many home tech offerings out there I feel like I can be there via my apps!! I Plus we have a sweet guard dog. <3

But I can turn on my apps and check in on my house whererever I am! That is settling to me, and allows me to run tedious errands without a winy kid.

anyone else leave their kids home alone while they go out to run errands? How old was your kid when you started?

All the time and I don't need "gadgets" to do so.

My 9 and 12 year olds sometimes stay home while I run some errands. No biggie. There's the phone and my MIL lives 2 houses away.
But seriously, at that age they're perfectly capable of being alone for an hour. No fancy gadgets and apps necessary.

I'm not interested, stop trying to sell to me. You sound like a marketer, you might want to work on your pitch.

Oh shoot - just new here. Not spamming... is it because of the link? I can delete it.

Mine are 12 now but I felt them home to run errands at 10. They knew the rules: no online activity, locked doors, no answering phone or doors, and no cooking.

I think 10 is perfectly acceptable to stay home for a bit on their own.
