Did anyone here not attend their father/mother's wake and funeral?
If so, do you regret it later.

I didn't. No I don't. I actually did try to go for my Dd and out of respect (wether deserved or not), but her dh made a huge fucking scene and I wasn't about to have any part of any possible drama surrounding my mom's viewing and stuff.

My husnad was there he does regret not speaking to him for a year before he passed away. His dad had a drinking problem and refused to get help for it.

We did not have a funeral for either of them. For my dad, we did a small memorial with me, my son and my husband. The whole world hated my mother, so no point in a funeral that no one would attend.

I didn't.
I deeply wish I could've been there. But I was 12 and my opinion was not considered.

I did not attend my biological father's funeral. I have never regretted it. He was a disgusting, vile human being and it is a relief to know he is deceased.
