resizing a ring

How much is a reasonable price to have a ring resized? And how long does it typically take? I lost a lot of weight after getting engaged and now my ring is loose enough that I'm afraid it might fall off. I also want to get it professionally cleaned and checked to make sure the stones are in good shape.

Depends on the shop and the metal. Doesn't it have a warranty?

My engagement ring cost $10 to have resized under my insurance and it took 3 days.

Nope. DF didn't think about getting one. I'm thinking about buying insurance for it through Littman Jewlers because I bought my wedding ring through them and their insurance plan is awesome. It'd cost more than insurancing my wedding ring.
