My cat pooped in my parents room

My parents live with me. Sometimes my cat sleeps on their bed. She uses a litter box. I was gone today and so were they. They closed the door and left her in their room knowingly. Now they are mad at me for it. It's not my fault they locked my cat in their room all day. Who's in the wrong?

This is why I always look for my cats before I leave the house. They're wrong, not you.

They knew the cat was in there and shut the door knowing that they'd be gone all day. This is their problem not yours, next time they won't lock the cat in their room.

That's what they do when they are locked in a room...

So the poor cat had no access to food/water all day either? Poor thing.

And you're not allowing that right? If they want to punish an innocent animal by throwing it outside because they were purposely neglectful, I'd be telling them to pack their shit.
