Should I tell them their father is out of prison?

The father of my 17 and 16 year old is out of prison after having served 12 years. He was suppose to be there a bit longer but got outon good behavior. I'm very unsure if I should tell my kids about it. They have minimal contact with (he'll send a card on their birthdays and Christmas). Any advice from other moms?

I would say yes, whether it goes against your good judgment or not. They are older. And might be mad at you for not telling them when they find out.

Yes. Unless your children are complete idiots, I trust you've raised them to be able to make decisions for themselves.
