at what age do you stop calling?

If another child is coming over to hang out at your house and you are not going to be there the entire time, at what age did you stop checking with the other parents to make sure that was ok.

At what age did you feel comfortable leaving the house while other peoples kids were there?

** during the day.... not like your leaving at night while the kids are having a friend spend the night.

2 moms liked this
Depends on the kid and how well I know the parents. My 13 year old? She's sneaky. I always check, she's like a tiger in a cage looking for weak spots.

I'm not there yet but I think I would never stop checking in.

We don't allow other minor children in our home without adult supervision. Too many sue happy people, people getting arrested left and right for accidents. No thanks, keep your children at your house and I will keep mine at my house.

Good question. My boy is 15. With people I know well, I stopped around 13. But I still would with parents I don't know well if I were to be out for longer than it takes to pick up a pizza.

Don't text and drive.

That doesn't mean you can look at your phone at red lights or stop signs or if you think you can do it quickly or if traffic's slow.  Just don't.  You're an adult.  Exercise some impulse control.  Quit driving like a 4 year old.
