Dd has really discovered reading for pleasure bc of these books. Is there another series that is similar or that your kids who are percy fans liked?

How old is your dd? My almost 12 year old likes the hunger games series, the divergent series, and a few others I can't think of. I'll look in a bit.

My son loves those and read the whole series in 3rd grade.  He now reads non-fiction chemistry text books so I don't think I can be of any help, lol.

My 10 year old read Percy a few years ago...she has read: The Kane Chronicles ( also by Riordan), The Heroes of Olympus and will most likely blow through Magnus Chase soon.  She also loves Harry Potter, has read several Kingdom Keepers, The Land of Stories, Fablehaven and more..I can't keep this kid in books. I think her next series will be The Hunger Games as she likes YA novels.

Speaking as a literacy teacher I would encourage your child to have a variety of genres. Each one takes a different set of skills to read and a different vocabulary.
