BM won't let her dd in our wedding if we make her wear this dress

I picked the top dress out for df's daughter to wear as the flower girl in our wedding. BM says their dd can't wear the dress because of her sensory issues so instead she offered to buy the bottom one or one similar.

I told df that I'm not budging, a 4 year old doesn't get to pick a dress for my wedding. That's silly. BM is now saying that if we don't change dresses she's going to keep her dd from being in the wedding at all.

What do we do?

I'm not sure she can stop her from being in your wedding, but do you really want the flower girl freaking out because of of the dress she is wearing? What is the issue with the dress?

LMAO well good luck.

Sensory issues are a thing, and it's not like those who have them just don't like the material. It an actual issue for them.

You pick the dress she can wear or risk alienating her

Does the child have sensory issues? if so why would you want her misrible in a dress all day just so YOU can be picky? What dies dad have to say about it?

Let her wear the dress she likes. She's 4, not an adult. Telling a four year old to suck it up is only going to make every one miserable

Does she really have a sensory issue or is bm making it up? Why not let her try on both and let her decide what she more comfortable in

You decide if you really want to couch this as a power struggle with a 4 year old.
