My soon to be grandmother Inlaw doesn't want me to wear red lipstick

My fiancés grandmother is 79. His grandmother has really strong feelings about red lipstick. She thinks only whores wear red lipstick

Our wedding is in a few weeks and we have a dilemma. We are having a black tie kind of wedding. I want to wear red lipstick.

If his grandmother sees me on the wedding day with red lipstick she will have a fit. I don't want to cause drama but I also don't want to change my wedding look for someone else. Advice?

Do what you want.
Plenty of women wore red lipstick in the 50s
It's your wedding.
Congrats

Let her old senile ass throw a fit. It's your wedding. Quit allowing outside forces dictate what you want

I would pretend like I didn't even hear her. Lol. Let her have a fit. She can leave, fuck it. Trust me, you are going to have much bigger concerns on your wedding day. Congrats!

You have to decide whether it's worth it to upset grandmother or not. I think you should take your fiancés feelings into account.

Could you wear a more subdued red color?

Will she really have a fit?  I doubt it.  Not in public.
