My Kid Sleeps Here....Bash Away...

My son sleeps squeezed into this tiny floor bed between our bed and the bookshelf most nights.

He has a huge room, with a twin sized bed. He just prefers to sleep here. He used to go to sleep in his bed just fine, and come in our bed most nights. When the baby was born, we convinced him to stay out of the bed by making him this floor bed. Now he prefers it to his own bed and all but refuses to sleep in his own room, so we just let him go to sleep in here from the start because it's easier than fighting.

We are moving in 6 weeks, and our room will be on a different floor than his, so this will stop then. For now, we let him do it.

You think when you move to a new house your son will just magically sleep in a new room, without you, in a new house, on an entirely different floor all by himself without an issue?

Good luck!

Ds sleeps on the sofa if he's sick, but he likes to do it as the occasional treat too.

Yep. I do. He has expressed an interest on bunk beds. We are going to get him bunk beds, and a comfy new mattress. I definitely think that will do the trick.
