I need some advice

My dog is a pug, 8 years old. He has had a urinary obstruction. They didn't see it on xray, but felt it when they put the catheter in. Dr wants to keep him until I go see my vet tomorrow (I'm in the vet er). I don't know if I should or should take him home. In my experience vets tend to get as much money as possible. Do you have any experience with this? Did your dog get another obstruction? I will take him to my personal vet tomorrow either way just for a check up and second opinion.

Let them keep him. It's in his best interest and they will give him pain meds. I feel bad for him!

Leave him at the vet. Hope the fur baby feels better.

Typically with urinary obstruction once the catheter is in the dog stays.

if the catheter sewed in place to have a cone put on his head and take him home and keep him in the kitchen where he can leak until you get him to your vet. Is long as you're around to keep a very close eye that he doesn't get his urinary catheter out or damaged.

I brought my cat home with a catheter in, it was a mess! It dripped everywhere. It's a really hard decision because you don't want them stressed, but the vet can keep your dog calm and in one place.
