So my SS made mother's day presents in his class and was SO excited when he came home yesterday.
He dug around in his bag and began crying cause he couldn't find it. He said my mom was mad I made you one too.

I said well maybe you forgot it, even his dad tried saying that. So when we dropped him off this morning for mother's day with his momma. He told us to wait so he could go find it and ran inside.

His mom text my DH a few minutes later and said "you guys need to leave, there's nothing for your wife here."

We left, and my DH did respond only to ask what happened to what their son had made for me. She actually responded and said, "she is not his mother, she doesn't get to take away from my day."

I get her anger but UGH

That sucks. Never understood that mentality. I helped my kids make cards for their SM and tissue paper flowers

Obviously your stepson can't love both of you. It doesn't work like that.
Him having any affection for you at all sucks away him love for his mother.

The person she's really hurting is the child. It's just wrong on so many levels.

So awesome!

I helped him make her a necklace, last nighg he tried saying he didn't want to give it go her if she threw away the gift for me.

He's 11, I get his anger but we encouraged him to give it to her and that we were sure he had just misplaced it. She totally stomps on any amicable feelings we try to display, and he is hurting because of her. Ugh!
