I mean literally. Rotten food was left in the house unknowingly. The garbage went out but they keep popping up in the kitchen, living room, etc.

Im so scared. How do I make them go away forever???

*Really? Some of these replies stink more than the rotten meat that maggots love. Some of you are acting like I don't clean and I deliberately store garbage in the house. It was a one time mistake in my 35 years of living.

I'd be fucking cleaning everything until I found the source of the problem.

Don't let your food rot and you won't have a problem in the future

Have you cleaned since then. Generally when you eliminate their breeding habitat you tend to get rid of them. Clean everything. Wash EVERYTHING (including the garbage pail). Simply taking out the trash won't do.

We didnt know there was rotten food. You know like when you leave something in the oven and forget it's there, etc?
