Would you wake someone up to eat?

I am at family's for the holiday. I had a migraine and my injured leg was bothering me. I took some pain medicine and went to lie down. I fell asleep. Pain pills always make me sleepy. My family knows this and knew why I went to lie down. I was sleeping deeply and they came in to wake me for dinner. Now my pain is back and I cannot take more pain meds for several hours. I don't know why they didn't let me sleep since I was finally comfortable. Would you wake someone to eat? Does it make a difference if they didn't feel well? I would not wake anyone up. (Before anyone asks I am not going home until tomorrow so I crashed in the guest bedroom.)

No I would make them a plate to save for later.

Depends on the instructions the person gives if an adult. I would at least make a plate and put it in the fridge.

Thank you. This is what I would do.

No. I would make them a plate and put it in the microwave or fridge.

I would ask if they wanted to eat unless they told me before hand to save them a plate.

In your situation, no. I would let you sleep.

I would ask you if you wanted to be woken up when it was time to eat.

2 moms liked this

Catch 22...  Some people would have bitched if the family ate without them...  Be glad for what you have.

I get frequent migraines, my family knows this and knows if I'm out cold... leave me that way.  I'll eat when I'm upright and don't feel like puking at the thought of eating.

I'd do the same for any other person.  Set a plate aside in the fridge to heat up for them later (and yes I'd volunteer to heat it up for them when they were up and feeling up to eating).

Yeah I don't care if they ate without me. I only care that I am hurting.
