So, I have DD enrolled in preschool. They offer a transitional kindergarten type program in the afternoon. I asked what it entailed and the lady said it was pretty much the same as the VPK just enhances on the topics, they teach ASL and it mirrors a typical school day more. Would you pay $125 per week for an additional 3.5hr a day?

I am no help. My son is in a special Ed preschool program and it's free for me.

Heres a bump.

VPK is free for all 4 year olds here 😉 I'm just trying to decide if the extra is worth it. Thanks though :)

I wouldn't. That sounds like a really long day for a 4 year old.

Probably not. Little kids need time for self directed free play much, much more than they need to learn to sit still in a classroom. Free play actually enhances a child's ability to sit still and learn, while more time in a classroom setting can actually be detrimental to a young child's ability to absorb and retain information.
