Yes I need a moment for a pity party.

Yesterday was my birthday.

DH was supposed to take off work. It didn't happen.

We were supposed to go to DC for the day. Didn't happen.

Compromised and said let's go to Tennessee for the weekend. Nope.

Fine, let's just go to a nice dinner. Nope.

DH says let's go get the puppy you have been wanting. Oh nope he didn't look at the price first.

I just feel like nothing ever happens just for me. Last year- I got nothing for my birthday.

DH gave me a tablet for Christmas- guess who never sees or touches the tablet? Oh me.

Excuse my pity party before I decide to get out of bed.

2 moms liked this

Demand to be seen and heard in the world.

Advocate for yourself, and don't allow yourself to be pushed aside or your feelings ignored or not given value.

Your birthday is your personal holiday, the day that celebrates YOU!

I'd demand a do-over or just do whatever I wanted (within reason) to rectify some of my shitty birthday.

Go get a cute summer pedi today and treat yoself to your favorite drink/snack/treat afterward.

YOU DESERVE IT! :D

I'm sorry your husband doesn't do anything to celebrate your bday. Even just a nice dinner.

Go to the animal welfare and adopt a puppy or dog. Much better than buying from the pet store and supporting puppy mills.

Stand up for yourself. Say something. Speak up. Don't hold back.

Stop accepting less than what you deserve. Good grief..

Be more present and more responsible for your happiness.

Why does your DH make all the decisions?

This too.

Adopt a sweet baby.

Go to your shelter and adopt a dog. Go by yourself to DC and dinner. That sounds like bliss.

Happy belated birthday!

Why don't you ever get to use your tablet?

We were going to the shelter. They doubled the price and we didn't notice til this morning.

He said we can go next payday.

We have a very strict budget that we stick to.

What an ass! Maybe on his birthday you should give him something you wanted. Seriously you deserve to be celebrated.
