I had BM arrested for parental kidnapping.

Yesterday my oldest son 16 ran home and through the door screaming. I asked him what was going on and he said that my "step" kids (8 and 9) got in the car with BM and left the park. He was very upset and said he tried to stop them from leaving but BM was telling him to let go of her kids because she was their mother and people were pulling him away.

Well biologically she might be but she took off a few years ago. DH and I filed for abandonment and I adopted them. She has no legal rights. I had DS call DH (who is a few hours away for work) right away while I was on the phone with the police.

It was awful we had no clue what was going to happen. DS was beating himself up. He blamed himself he said he should have done more. I told him he did everything he can. He could have never known what was going to happen and he handled it the best way he could by coming to get me.

Finally they found BM and the kids. They asked me if I wanted to press charges and I said yes. They brought the kids to me. BM was taken to jail. I am not sure what is going to happen next. It is all just a whirlwind.

The kids were so confused. They were excited to see their mom. She told them that she went to court and the judge said she could take them.

DH says she might get some jail time for this but we arent sure. We are going to push for her being charged as much as possible. We are also looking into restraining orders just in case.

So much is missing from this story.

I tried to include anything I thought was important. What else would you like to know?

That is one hell of a scare, I would consider an RO.

And how exactly did she know that they were at the park?

I have no idea. The only thing I can think of is that she was watching and waiting until a good moment.

Right now they seem to be scared and angry at everyone. I feel awful for them .

My sons birth mother has taken him from our house. This is believable.
