SMILE 😀😊 Then walk up, shake their hands and thank them for their service. I got to see three smiles on Monday when I stopped at a Chic Fil A.

Have you ever done this?

2 moms liked this
My oldest walks up to them and shakes their hands and says" when I grow up I want to be a cop. And a astronaut. And a firefighter. But mostly a cop." They always get a good smile from that.

Yes. We bought a couple ice cream when they were at the local ice cream shop.

Nope. I'm still a little afraid of them in all honesty. My father was a criminal.

I do it as a matter of habit. Yes there are bad police out there, but the majority are just good people out there just trying to do a difficult job.

Quoting Anonymous 3: If you blow them they really get happy!

True story.

The test of first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.

My dh prides himself in walking over to service members and shaking their hand and saying thank you for your service. I run my mom's army navy store on Saturdays' and he did it in here, it was a little bit more odd on that one lol. But it's what he feels right doing :)

He couldn't serve because of his ankle, but I think he always wanted to.
