Rag Doll Kitten

We just got one of these.

I researched the breed a lot so I feel like I have a good handle on them but...

Everything keeps saying to keep them indoors because they lack the skills to fight or even protect themselves. This sounds really weird. They're still cats.. How can they be so docile and gentle they can't go out? She was supposed to be our big bad mouser!! ("She" who is now actually a he!))

Anyone have one of these?

So keep it inside. What's the big deal?

I have heard the same about that breed. I would maybe just have limited time outside. Outdoor cats usually have a much shorter life span.

I am confused-
If you researched the breed so much then didn't you learn about their disposition?

I would never allow my house cat to go outside. If ya want a good mouser just get a mixed breed from the humane society

So you went and got a kitten instead of punishing your child for what he did? On top of that, he's already killed one pet

We have a beautiful rag doll cat, she just showed up at our house 7 years ago. She loves being outside and is a good fighter and mouser

No experience with this breed, but always thought they were adorable. Hope you figure everything out and find your new, furry addition to be the perfect fit for your family.

Is your DS ready for another pet? Yikes.
