Have people given up? I've had the same gyms for three days. In another few hours I can collect the gold again!

My area has so few Pokemon it's not even worth playing anymore. Unless you live in the city the game is pretty useless. We have no pokestops or even characters :/

Ours are pretty active... I hear after the update a lot of people quit though.

The update wasn't that big of a deal.  What CP is your pokemon?  Maybe it's just too strong?

No. It's only 1100 or so. It could easily be beat.

I did. I live in a pretty rural area. It is impossible to find anything around here that isnt a pidgey or rattata now that there is no way to track

I have stopped playing the game completely. If they fix it I will go back to playing but until then there is no point

I am level 27

The update was a huge deal for rural players. It completely changed the game.

I lost everything after the update and Nintendo/Niantic did nothing about it. They initially stated that I was using the wrong Google account but I only have one and my game profile wasn't there anymore.

I wasn't the only one who had this happen to them.

We only have one gym near us and it is 4 miles away. The nearest poke stop is not within walking distance. They really left out this part of Miami.

Maybe because I'm not rural, but the 'nearby' feature didn't work to begin with.

I like the idea that they put the footprints back but with shorter parameters.  Something being 3 miles away from where I'm standing isn't exactly helpful.
