I know that every artist will charge a bit differently, but what would be an average price range for a tattoo like this? I want to place it on my ribs. I also want to add more stars.

Depends on how big. But most simple large rib pieces run about $200 at the shop I frequent.

I want it to be at least 5"x5". Maybe larger.

A reputable shop, with a great artist, usually charges by the hour . Unless you know them well and have a good relationship.

I would never just go anywhere to get a tattoo. Not anymore . I did that 20 years ago and thank goodness they didn't come out THAT bad , are in a hidden area, and are small...lol.

$100 an hour and that looks like it would take an hour tops so I would say about $100

I'm getting that on my thigh and it's going to be about $200

Low cost of living area, the tattoo artist is amazing

Depends completely. You need to take it to the shop you want to go to and ask. Most have a per hour sitting fee minimum.

None of the artists I know would do that piece.  It looks like a kid drew it..... Not very professional looking.
