Can you forgive a guy who starts a relationship on lies?

I met a guy online and we really really hit it off. Met in person and hit it off even better. Then his last day here he shut down and picked a fight and dumped me. I knew he loved me and was panicking about something so I started digging....he lied about his job, in extreme detail. So we spent months chatting and talking and much was about his work. He lied about having 50% custody of his kids (only has visitation). And he told some little lies...little things I questioned at the time but overlooked.

When I confronted him he just started to bawl, said he had always had truth issues and it ruins all his relationships. He mentioned bipolar. I told him I would try and forgive and move on because I love him but now I do not think I can. I DO love him, though.

I should probably run, right?

Um, just think about what your life will be like if you DON'T run. Drama, lies, stress....no thanks.

Unless you like drama and emotional pain, run far far away.

Nope, particularly big things like custody and work.

He's a liar, a habitual liar who will ALWAYS lie to you. Even if it's something small and stupid, you'll never know everything there is to know about him because he's always going to lie. On top of that he has bipolar disorder, something that will never go away and even with medication the rest of your days with him will be a battle.

Get the fuck out of there.

You should definitely stay and give this liar a chance.
