Is 6th grade too old for this? Should Mommy stay out of it?

If your 6th grader had been persistently bullied, harrassed, threatened and humiliated by another 6th grade student, do you think 6th grade is too old for mommy to call the prinicipal and ask that the child not be in the same class?

(Yes they are in the samel class and rotate to the same classes every day, together)

I think it's likely you wouldn't be the only parent to make the request.

No, I would advocate for my child. I would assume the same mother has spoken to school officials before since it seems to be an ongoing thing.

Poor kid.

I think it's perfectly fine for Mom to call about that kind of stuff.

The parent should absolutely step in. Kids are killing themselves over shit like this.

I'd call, but I'd also tell DS to knock the bully out the next time they start shit.

Look, my son is shy and rarely speaks out. Hell yes I'd say something. It's my job as his mother to step in when he cannot. I'm sure the little shit doing the bullying isn't only targeting your child and other parents have made the same request.

If this were true bullying then yes. I would if course make the school aware. The child shouldn't be in the school perood.

If the children just didn't get along I'd tell my child yo just stay away from him.

When my oldest was in 6th I had to take care of it.
They told him they were going to kill him and the school refused to do anything until I mentioned calling the cops.
No matter how old they are you protect your kids
