In my experience no.
Although I don't see codependence as needy, codependence is when two people rely and are dependant on eachother, it's not one sided.

Maybe. Share some articles or research about it. I didn't know for the longest time I was codependent until I started researching things. When you've lived with a certain mindset your entire like it's hard to see how dysfunctional it is.

This is very true. Or one is an addict and the other their enabler. Healthy people don't stay in unhealthy relationships for very long. It's usually two broken people that continue the cycle.
