Just a vent

My car is in the shop and I got paid today, so I need to get groceries. I called my sister to see if she could take me, and she said she didn't have gas. So I sent DH with ten dollars to get her gas, and she said okay.

It's been two hours and I'm still waiting. I texted her asking her where she was at and she's on a date, and she said she'll take me later. She said her boyfriend wanted to take her to lunch and she just couldn't say no.

Maybe I'm just pouting or something but I was wanting to get groceries before DD got home so I wouldn't have to go anywhere after she was home. The entire purpose of me sending her gas money was so she could help me get groceries. So I'm a little hurt. Can't wait for my car to be fixed because I'm tired of depending on everyone else

Why could your husband not take you? Or use his car to go?

He had to work, and he uses the work truck for that.

My kids love shopping, so just take her with you. Some grocery stores offer a free cookie from their bakery.

Oh I will. I just get upset when my plans get messed up but I'll make it work

She could have let you borrow her car.  Yeah, I get it.  It will be okay. You never know, maybe there was a reason you couldn't go today.  The last time our pick up broke down, we bought our neighbor's Ford Escort and I got rear ended and ended up with a serious injury.  Maybe angels intervened?

Why would you give money to someone before they did the favor.
