My 6 year old reads stories to my 3 year old until he falls asleep. Not every night, but pretty often. My sister in law said to me today that's just lazy parenting LOL!

Meh, lazy parenting is the way to go. I've commited my parenting style to it.

It's not. My 8 year old reads to my 5 year old, they not enjoy that. It was their decision.

Lol I guess I'm lazy fuck too.

I think it's ADORABLE! Definitely get some videos of that. And kudos to you for encouraging your child to read :)

As long as your six year old is an expert reader it's fine, or if you always read as well. Kids model fluency and expression and should also be taught skills like look backs, predicting, etc.
