A murder mystery dinner party? I'm wanting to hold one for my 30th birthday with a 1920's theme (saying farewell to my "roaring 20's"). I just am not sure how far in advanced I should send out invites and get RSVP's so I make sure all important characters are played? Any ideas? I want this to be a ton of fun!

Sounds fun. 4 weeks in advance if your friends and families keep busy schedules.

I haven't but my sil was in a cosplay group that meet twice a monthly for a Victorian murder mystery. I would plan 6 weeks in advance though, Id also assign roles with the invite. If you plan on your guests being victims or the murderer, I'd wait until the day before the party to tell those invitees so it doesn't get accidentally revealed.
