We told him the truth when he was 8 but it hasn't really been brought up after that. He's 10 now.

As long as he knows the truth I don't see a problem with that. Unfortunately many grandparents are having to step back in the parenting ring and raise their grandkids.

It's easier raising him than it was my bio dd. I have a lot more money, experience, and job security these days.

does the child know your grandma?my sister was raised by my grandparents but lied to..it was a nightmare..

Yeah we played it by ear. I actually assumed we wouldn't tell him but he's such an intelligent and mature boy, he deserved to know and I knew he could handle it.
