No Christmas presents...

My ex and I have been separated for 2 years now, we have two kids. In all that time he hasn't bought a single present for Christmas, Birthdays, nothing. He hasn't given them a single gift or helped when they needed new mattresses, clothes, shoes, never anything. When I asked if he could help with mattresses he said he couldn't afford it.

This year he decided to go out and buy them Halloween costumes. What would you think?

Why haven't you taken him to court to get CS?

I'd be glad he's making an effort and buying something I guess?

I'd think I need to adjust my expectations. Plan for him not to help.

His loss in the long run, he is irresponsible. Follow up on the cs.

I'm trying, but I can't help but be pissed that he puts Halloween costumes over everything else. I'd be willing to bet he doesn't do anything for Christmas, but hopefully he'll surprise me.

I've never planned on him helping.
