Don't call me Sweetie

I abhor when random strangers call me sweetie, hun, doll.... whatever. Obnoxious. Ask what my name is or call me nothing. Unless you are a 90 year old grandma, don't do it.

Depends on the person. Usually okay unless the person is younger.

Some waitresses just exude that as part of their personality regardless of age though. Totally okay with that.

I use to work in a nursing home and a lot of the residents used those terms with us so I picked it up a bit. I try not to use them but I'm sure I have at n times.

Same here.

Quoting September-days: I find it hilarious that some losers try to use terms of endearment as condesending words. Lol

Seems like a silly thing to get all worked up about.  You need to learn to lighten up a little.

I agree and glad that it's not common in my area.

Sorry, I call everyone hun.  It is pretty commonplace where I am from.  I do it for male or female.

People are offended by the oddest and smallest things. Such an insignificant thing to be bothered by. It's not like it's an insult.

I don't like it either. I find it quite rude. You can call me by my name or refer to me as 'miss' or 'ma'am' if you don't know me.
