I can't function

Idk what to do. I live with my dad but I know he wants me out. not meanly but he wants me to be my own person, be stable- financially, emotionally, etc. Even if it means my taking over this house and he moving out. That way, there's still... stability in my life, like a sense of comfort zone.

but as I apply for jobs, I have no references to put down. You can't skip over the reference part so I can't complete that application. Having no real work history, a theft charge... I'm not exactly prime candidate for an employer.

I've thought temp agencies, but I become so overwhelmed. Do I call them first, do I walk in. I don't exactly have a resume. What do I say.

Then there's a matter of clothing. I hate clothes. I know, I need to get over it but I'd already be in a very uncomfortable situation, add in the clothes. I squirm, move around, it itches. I don't have money to get new clothes but my current "nice" clothes are too small for me- muffin top, shows off the belly rolls, out of date.

I get so anxious thinking about it, then worthless then I feel like it would be better if I'm dead. I don't really serve a purpose, if anything I'm a burden. But I know that's not right, to think that way. But that's how my mind starts going down that path.

I just don't know what to do. I've been to therapy and I lie my way through that.

Criminal background, limited work experience and a dislike for wearing clothes, this is going to sound mean but it's not the intent-cocktail girl at a strip club.

Don't lie during therapy, that will not help. You are not worthless or a burden! You're a human being that needs to get some clothes you feel confident in, get yourself out there & working. Try a temp agency, I'm sure you can walk in. Or just call. Then worry about you & your dads situation.

Lol I like clothing, just not the "professional" type. I don't wear like wearing jeans, let alone pants or slacks. I've never put a skirt on... so going into an interview, I know I'll fail if I wear my regular men's athletic shorts and athletic shirt. Though, most of the time, i only wear a tank top. I know I can't wear that to an interview, or a job even.

Go to Goodwill. Ask to talk to an employment specialist. Also, look for a nice dress shirt and a pair of black slacks and black ballet flats.

Let's build you a resume. Let's find some clothes that don't itch, and let's see where we get to. Message me if you want help.

I'm comfortable in men's shorts and shirts- the athletic type. But I know that's frowned upon. Even going out and about.
