Ds has it and from the last ultrasound to this month (4 years), it grew.

He only has one cyst but it's half of his left kidney. He's getting an echo done, an mri (the structure of the cyst is different. It used to be a circle... now it has like a point coming off from it).

He has another ultrasound in 6 months to see if it'll continue to grow.

Its not currently affecting him, no pain, no blood in urine, etc so we aren't doing anything, for now.

But I'm researching it and it scares me. :( over 50% go into end stage kidney disease and need either dialysis or transplant.

When he's 18, they'll also check for brain aneurysms.

He's 11, has had the cyst since he was born... but other than the initial findings, I didn't worry after that. Now, I'm just freaking out. :(

I'm sorry.  Hopefully the advances in medicine will find a cure for this.
