ODD and ADHD mostly... but I swear there are more to these kids than that, but I'm no doctor.

So what goes on in the class? Is there academic learning or is it dealing with mostly managing behavior? How many kids? Ages?

They mostly use the class when they can't handle the classroom that day. We try to put them in a gen ed class as much as possible but if they start having behaviors we have to pull them out and have them do work in the ed room. We have 7 kids. 4 kindergarteners two first graders and one second grader.

Your school puts kids with ADHD in a self contained ESE class?

Wow. I can't imagine.

Our district has two ED units for almost 40 elementary schools. I think there's around 15 kids in the entire district in self contained classes with that label. Most of the kids labeled as ED do very well in regular classes with proper support.
