What age did your child start disagreeing with you?

When kids are babies, mommy can do no wrong.  Curious what age they started having "differences" from you?  What age they started growing into their own?  How did you feel about that moment?  Proud?  Bittersweet?  Of course we want our kids to be independent one day, and of course they won't always agree with us (though I still mostly think my mom is right about everything and I'm 30).

When did that happen for you?

Wow, really?  What happened?  I mean, how was she old enough to say, support Trump, when you didn't?

He was old enough to say he wanted cheerios instead of oatmeal and insisted on not wearing pants ever. You know, typical toddler. I dont think he was into politics yet.

Ummm, like immediately.

Children have their own personalities from birth. none of my children blindly lead me and that's good parenting imo.

Truly disagreeing with me in topics, I'm not sure. The older two are 8 and 9 and haven't really expressed different opinions, but we also don't usually talk about things like politics or other hot topics, so it hasn't came up. Both of them are Christians I guess. They go to church and believe in God and Jesus, while I am an atheist. That's the only thing I can really think of that we are different about.

Now if you mean just in general being disagreeable, I'm pretty sure my ds has been that was since birth lol.
