Refuses, or can't? There's a difference.

My almost 2 year old has recently started calling DH and me by our first names. It's annoying!

Mine started calling his dad by his first name. I'm assuming it's because he hears me calling him by his name.

He will get it eventually, I wouldn't worry yet. At least he doesn't sass and call you by your first name like my 5 year old does. πŸ˜‰

If he can't talk at all you need to talk to his doctor. By 2 he should be using small sentence, like I want a drink.

He may need speech therpary, not uncommon.
