If your kid ruptured a ear drum two days ago but still had a lot of drainage and a cotton ball in her ear constantly being switched .
would you let her stay home from school ?

I wouldn't for that. If she were in a lot of pain and unable to concentrate, I would.

Yes, she probably isn't feeling her best.

She probably is in pain and feels crappy, so yes I would keep her home.

Absolutely! Especially if she is on an antibiotic or pain meds

I would call her doc. But if she's not running a fever or in pain, then let her go

Well she's on drops every four hours, antibiotics, and Advil whenever needed . They do not have a nurse at her little school .
She's 6 and In first grade .
My mom called to ask how she was feeling and acted annoyed I didn't send her to school and said I was babying her.
