Should I tell him I got her the same thing

My dd is 17. Her biological father has never been on her life until August.

Saturday he text me and asked me if I would be ok if he mailed her gifts here. We live in another state. I said sure. I was busy and left it at that. Today I texted him and asked him what he got her. He said a camo hoodie. Well I also got her a buckedup camo hoodie for Christmas
Should I tell him since it is the only thing he is getting her?

I am not exchanging it. One I bought it online. 2 it is buckedup which she has been asking for for 3 year. He would have a earlier time replacing since he bought it from Walmart. Plus it is part of a theme I am getting her. The buckedup hoodie, hat, belt and cowboy boots to match

No, you should exchange yours before Christmas and get something different.

I would just return mine and get her something else, she doesn't need two of the same thing and it would be a whole lot easier than him finding something else when you know her better.

No. it'll be nice for her to have a back up if one is misplaced, stained, or simply in the wash when she wants to wear it.

Why don't you get her something differnt?  That solves the issue.

I'd let her open both, and let her exchange it if she wants.

I would leave it up to her to decide after she's opened the gifts.
