Is there anything I can do?

My ceilings are really low. I have a 2 story house so I'm not sure if there is anything I can do about it, but what do you think? Aside from buying a new house, is there anyway a contractor can raise the ceiling height on a 1949 2 story house? Would it just be easier to find a new home or at least just as cost effective?

Since it is a 2 story house I can't imagine there is anything they can do without raising the floor making those ceilings really low.

Probably easier to move.

That sounds expensive. I have no idea if it can be done. But, estimates are usually free.

My last house had that issue. We sold it. I can't even imagine what it would cost to make that kind of change, if it was even possible.
