No, being "realistic" as you put it is not helpful in this situation. Shit like this is sickening, and more love, kindness and understanding for those suffering is needed. 

You pulled in an unrelated thing and tied it to a horrible event. Its OK though, I will still be here offering support to those that need it, even if you can't see that love is more important then being negative.
