It's 1:30am where I am. I just woke up with absolutely excruciating back pain (mid/upper back. Between my shoulder blades). It was so bad I actually threw up and now I'm dizzy. I took ibuprofen but I just keep throwing it up

I can't go back to sleep because it hurts so bad.

What do I do?!?

1 mom liked this
Could be a heart attack, so I would actually go to the er. Back pain like that and vomiting are both possible symptoms, women are much less likely to have classic symptoms.

OP, you posted this an hour before I read it. I hope you're at the ER right now! Please come back, when you can, and give us an update. I hope you're ok!

This or its a pulmonary embolism. I'd call 911.
