His phone went through the wash 😦

So, ds15 sent his phone through the wash and it is going to cost 199.00 to replace. We had it in a sealed bag of rice for over two days now, and it still doesn't work.
I'm making him pay for it.
Would you?
My dh says no, we shouldn't make him spend his money on it.

Depends on whether or not he's repeat phone abuser. Otherwise we all make mistakes.

Yes, he would be paying for the new one.

I would make him pay it. I don't check pockets. It would be all on him.

I have washed my husbands phone. Unless this is a repeat performance I'd replace it this once.

I think when it happened to ds i made him pay. I honestly don't remember. I may have given him an old phone i had. I ruined mine while kayaking so i feel the pain. Third phone in a year he's paying.

He'd be paying for it. 3rd phone in a year?? You'd better get insurance on his phones if he's that irresponsible. Boy needs to get a job, if he doesn't have one already.
