My oldest turned 8 in October and its tradition in my family to gift the girl a personalized jewelry box and her first piece of jewelry. I decided to give it to her for Christmas.

So I got a jewelry box, painted it white then I painted a A sparkly purple. What else should I add to the box or does it look ok like this?

And here is the jewelry I'm giving her. The top bracelet is one of mine that she loves, one is a opal bracelet I bought her and my stepmom is sending me a necklace she got as a little girl.

Um, flowers? A quote maybe. It looks unfinished with just one letter.

You could give it to her, with some art supplies and let her decorate it.

That's a good idea! It's a awesome tradition. I grew up Mormon so you are baptized at 8. My great, great grandma on my moms side started it and it's just passed down from one generation to the next.

I know this is a wall... but some scroll work in the corner?

You can buy rub on decals at craft stores and then just clear coat over it.

I like that. I love the quote "though she may be little but she is fierce".
