My sd had a sweatshirt on that said "It's a criminal justice thing" in big letters on the front.

I don't get it. What is supposed to be the message here?

It's meant for college age students studying criminal justice. Maybe she's interested in it or just liked the shirt

Well she just turned 15, and isn't interested in that for college in the future. So I'm not sure why she would wear it if that were the case. Seems odd to me.

Is that something she's interested in going to school for after graduating?

Maybe she just thought it was cool...

But here's the best translation for you...it's a teenager thing. My sd14 has one with an oreo being dipped in milk saying "it's a cookie thing" her volleyball hoody says "it's a volleyball thing, you wouldn't get it" and they have shirts in the women's section of our Walmart that has a tamogatchi on it that says "it's a 90s thing" among others.
It's just the thing right now. It's ok, I promise...
