I'm scared to get my tubes tied

I had a procedure last year and I felt everything that was going on. Ever since, I've been terrified of going through it again. I went to therapy but that didn't help. I'm pregnant and would like to get my tubes tied but I'm deathly afraid of feeling everything again. What kept you calm during a tubal? I'm due end of May.

Vaginal, but that's not a surgery

I had my tubal after my c -section so I didn't feel anything because I was numb and my hubby was there saying funny stuff to distract me.

Some people react to anesthesia differently, my dh has experienced that before. You need to tell the anesthetist that this happens so they can adjust your dosage.

I had my tubal done under local anesthesia so I was awake, and it was uncomfortable. But not horrifyingly so.

So speak up. The moment you feel anything, say so.
