Do you prefer the dark brown or the multidimensional brown?

ETA. It's a before and after of a brand new head. I only brushed the "straightened" one and the curl kept falling out of the styled second pic. So I curled it some more and ran my fingers through it. I appreciate everyone's feedback.

How would you go about fixing the "messy"?

The straight needs to be straightened more, the ends are everywhere. The curly needs a wide tooth comb ran through it so it lays nicely.

The straight one is a before picture of an uncut uncolored mannequin head. The second the same head colored, cut, and styled. I ran a comb through it and that's what it looked like. I appreciate your honestly though. Thanks.
