For those of you that had employment gaps on your resume how were you able to get a job eventually.?

I tell them I took a year off to spend time with my son before he started school. My sister said she took a year off to care for our mom who was battling a staph infection.

My last job was one year, left only two months ago but I worried about having one year in the prior position

I work entry level jobs, they honestly don't care.

yes but i ended up voluneering at salvation army getting a job there due to volunteering and from there i eventually got a better job since i now had recent work history
