Anger issues and apologys....

I wish to God I was slow to anger. In fact, Im going to start praying to him....

Today, we (my three kids and I) were boarding the bus. A woman told them to wait as an older lady was boarding. I snapped that Ill tell them when to board.

Once on the bus the woman said my kids and I were unkept and my girls needed their hair combed.

I said nothing. Then she said I must have an attitude because I have so many kids.

Then, DD1 throws a tantrum.

I see her exit with her teenagers. I apologize.

I said I was sorry to be short with her. She was right

Why do I have to be so quick to anger....

I shouldn't have been short with her.

I wouldn't have apologized.  You were rude to tell her not to correct your children if they were about to run in front of an elder however she then was intentionally rude back with those comments.

You were both wrong but good for you for recognizing it.  Have you always had an anger problem?

That is not a good enough reason to drag your kids into it. If she was irritated with YOU, then her comment could have been directed at YOU. Still, if she had any sense at all she would have let it go and not said anything at all.

She was talking shit. Fuck her. That's my classy reply, lol. I would have given her the side eye, certainly not an apology.

You might want to see someone.  You don't want to lose your temper with the wrong person and get hurt.

She was older than I am. The elderly lady was yet older.

If I cannot be nice and gracious then what am I showing my kids.

She accepted the apology, touched my arm, and said she was trying to help.
